Shri Hanumanji's physique is golden colored. His dress is pretty, wearing

'Kundals' ear-rings and his hairs are long and curly.

Kandhe Moonj Janeu saage.

Shri Hanumanji is holding in one hand a lighting bolt and in the other a banner

with sacred thread across his shoulder.

Oh Hanumanji! You are the emanation of 'SHIVA' and you delight Shri Keshri.

Being ever effulgent, you and hold vast sway over the universe. The entire

Oh! Shri Hanumanji! You are the repository learning, virtuous, very wise and

highly keen to do the work of Shri Ram,

You are intensely greedy for listening to the narration of Lord Ram's life story and revel on its enjoyment. You ever dwell in the hearts of Shri Ram-Sita and Shri Lakshman.

Bikat roop Dhari Lank Jarawa

You appeared before Sita in a diminutive form and spoke to her, while you

assumed an awesome form and struck terror by setting Lanka on fire.

Bhim roop Dhari Asur Sanhare,

Ramchandra Ke kaaj Savare.

He, with his terrible form, killed demons in Lanka and performed all acts of Shri Ram.

Laye Sajivan Lakhan Jiyaye,

Shri Raghubir harashi ur laye.

When Hanumanji made Lakshman alive after bringing 'Sanjivni herb, Shri Ram

took him in his deep embrace, his heart full of joy.

Tum Mama Priya Bharat Hisam Bahi.

Shri Ram lustily extolled Hanumanji's excellence and remarked, "you are as dear to me as my own brother Bharat"

Goddess Saraswati along with Sheshnag the cosmic serpent, fail to sing the

glories of Hanumanji exactly

What to talk of denizens of the earth like poets and scholars ones etc even Gods

like Yamraj, Kuber, and Digpal fail to narrate Hanman's greatness in to-to.

Hanumanji! You rendered a great service for Sugriva, It was you who united

him with SHRI RAM and installed him on the Royal Throne.

By heeding your advice Vibishan became Lord of Lanka, which is known all

over the universe.

Hanumanji gulped, the SUN at distance of sixteen thousand miles considering

it to be a sweet fruit.

Jaladhi Langhi Gaye Acharaya Naheen.

Carrying the Lord's ring in his mouth, he went across the ocean. There is no

wonder in that.

Sugam Anugrah Tumahre Te Te.

Oh Hanumanji! all the difficult tasks in the world are rendered easiest by your

grace.

Hot Na Aagya Bin Paisare.

Oh Hanumanji! You are the sentinel at the door of Ram's mercy mansion or His

divine abode. No one may enter without your permission.

Sab Sukh Lahen Tumhari Sarna,

Tum Rakshak Kaahu Ko Darnaa.

By your grace one can enjoy all happiness and one need not have any fear under your protection.

Aapan Tej Samharo Aapei,

Tenau Lok Hank Te Kanpei

When you roar all the three worlds tremble and only you can control your might.

Mahabir Jab Naam Sunavei.

the eternal nectar the highest fruit of life.

Oh Hanumanji! You magnificent glory is acclaimed far and wide all through the four ages and your fame is radiantly noted all over the cosmos.

My Independence day

Independence Day was nearing and preparations were soaring high in Shanthi Colony. Everyone was busy running over making arrangements for one thing or other. Even the kids engaged themselves for the decorations part. Everyone, except Raghunandhan. He was the oldest member of that Colony and had also been a devoted freedom fighter, yet he never took part in the celebration. This had been the same for all the years. Many members of the colony had approached Mr. Raghunandhan for hoisting the National Flag and to share his experiences of freedom fights but he would decline politely and over the years they had stopped asking him knowing that he would not come.

Ashok was the recent occupant in the colony and he was curious to know the reason behind this. He thought of asking Anand the next time he met him. Ashok did meet Anand that evening and asked him why Mr. Raghunandhan never participated in these celebrations. Anand recalled that day’s happenings to Ashok.

“Mr. Raghu this year at least we want you to do the honor of hoisting our National flag in our colony” It was Mr. Mehta. Raghunandan slowly replied”Mr. Mehta I was a freedom fighter. We people fought for our country’s independence, many of them struggled and lost their lives too. I wish I had been one among them and not see the country the way it is today. Look at our country, corruption, poverty and crime runs high everywhere. And who bothers about them. Everyone is busy in his life. Only when our country is free from these we will have a real Independence Day. Until that I have decided not to celebrate it”

“Oh God! What a thought Anand? Why does Mr. Raghu need to look only at the corruption side? Look at the developments we have had… MNC’s, BPO’s and stuff. Look at the pay they offer and how comfortable our lives are because of them.”

“Yeah Ashok, but you see he is too old and doesn’t think about these. Anyhow, who cares about his stupid ideologies. Come on we have got a hell lot of work to do!”

Raghunandan was watching all this and smiled.

Late to School !

Tring! The clock rings
It is just 6:45Am
Tring! Again it rings
Oh! My God, it is 8Am
I couldn't eat my breakfast
I couldn't tie my hair properly
I couldn't wear my shoes
I couldn't catch my bus soon
I was late to school
Was punished by the teacher
Was asked to stand outside
All i could say was
Sorry Miss for coming late

Recipie Corner

Fried Rice

Ingredients

• 1 cup Basmathi Rice
• 3 tbl spoon Oil, Salt - acc to taste
• 1 onion - sliced
• Vegetables cut in French style                                                                                       (Beans, carrot, capsicum, Spring onions, cabbage, Fresh Green Peas [optional])
• Ginger , Garlic -  Finely chopped
• Pepper Powder (if required)
• Soya Sauce

Method

• Wash Basmathi rice and soak in water for 15 mins and drain.
• Boil the rice along wit little salt. Each grain must be separate.
• Add oil/ ghee in a pan and fry the onion, Ginger ,Garlic till the raw smell goes.
• Next add the vegetables and  fry. It should not be overdone.
• Add salt and pepper powder.
• Add the rice with the vegetables and mix well.
• Next add Soya sauce and mix well with rice.
• Cook for 2-3 mins.

Aloo Palak

Ingredients

• 2 Bunches Palak 
• 2 Potatoes (chopped in cubes)(half boil if needed)
• 2 Tomatoes(chopped) 
• 1 Onion (finely chopped)
• Ginger(1 inch piece)-Garlic(2 flakes) (paste)
• 1 tsp cumin powder 
• 1 tsp Corainder powder 
• 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder 
• 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder 
• Salt (acc. to taste)
• Oil 

Method

• In a pan add oil, cumin seeds. Add onions and sauté till they are transparent and add ginger-garlic paste.. fry till the raw smell is gone
• Add the chopped potatoes and tomatoes.
• Next add cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and salt
• Leave it to cook. Sprinkle some water if needed
• Then add Palak and fry till the leaves shrink and allow to cook for 15 mins.

Mango Ice Cream

Ingredients

• 1½ cups ripe Alphonso mangoes, peeled and chopped
• 2 to 3 tbsp sugar
• ½ can (400 grams for full can) condensed milk
• 2 cups full fat milk
• 1 tsp lemon juice

Method:

• Blend the mangoes with the sugar in a liquidizer into a puree.
  
• Combine the condensed milk, milk, pureed mangoes, lemon juice and mix well.
• Pour the mixture in a shallow container. Cover and freeze till slushy.
• Divide the mixture into 2 batches and blend each batch till it is smooth and creamy.
• Transfer both the batches into the shallow container. Cover and freeze till it is firm.

Strawberry Milk Shake

Ingredients

1 cup fresh strawberries
2 scoops of ice cream
1 cup milk

Method:

Put the strawberries in a blender and puree it.To this add ice cream and milk. Mix well and blend.
